About Sam Ping’s

Chinatown roast meats, one flight up.

Sam Ping’s Chinese BBQ (三拼王) is a takeout counter for Cantonese roast meats at 88 Fulton St in New York’s Financial District. It opened in 2026 to bring Chinatown-style char siu, roast duck and crispy pork belly over rice to Lower Manhattan, at Chinatown prices.

Siu mei 燒味

An everyday Chinatown lunch, a short walk from Wall Street.

Siu mei is the Cantonese and Hong Kong tradition of roast meats: char siu glazed until it caramelizes, crackling pork belly, five-spice roast duck and roast chicken, chopped to order and laid over rice. In Manhattan’s Chinatown it’s an everyday lunch. Sam Ping’s grew from that lunch, and from the idea that it should be just as easy to find in FiDi.

What 三拼王 means

三拼王

三拼 (sam ping) is a three-meat combination plate, and 王 means king. 三拼王 is “King of the Three-Meat Combo,” and the 3-Meat Box is the house order.

The spirit of the counter

Uncle Sam Keeps You Fed.

Uncle Sam is the uncle who makes sure nobody leaves hungry. Generous boxes, fair prices, food for the people.

The menu

Respect the Roast.

The menu stays short so every roast gets its due: char siu, roast duck, crispy pork belly, roast chicken, ribs and wings, by the box or by the pound.
